Everyone has a story. And no-one has a story quite like yours. Your own, unique collection of events, drama and people that make up your life.
Jesus has a story, too. It has been called the greatest story ever told.
But perhaps no story is more unique, powerful and personal tha the story of how these two stories connect – your story and the story of Jesus. This is what we call My Jesus Story.
My Jesus Story is a great course to work through in a group setting, where you can share your reflections along the way. It’s also a great opportunity to hear one another share your own stories. Of course, you can also use this material on your own.
We hope this course will allow you not only to write your personal Jesus Story, but enable you to share it with others as well. As you complete the writing process, we would love to record you telling your story, so that we can share it widely as an encouragement to others to discover the wonderful hope of Jesus for themselves.
How it works
My Jesus Story is a course designed to help you share with others how Jesus’ story connects with your story.
Over three sessions, you will:
- Reflect on your own personal story, and the significant moments that have shaped your life.
- Unpack the story of Jesus, and identify the key moments that intersect between his story and yours.
- Learn what makes a great story, and how you can tell your story in a captivating way.
- Hear useful tips and tricks on what to include or avoid as you piece together your story.
- Join many others in have a special, personalised resource to inspire and encourage others to discover Jesus for themselves.
The course includes:
- A participants workbook
This will guide you through the process, and provide you space to take notes along the way and record your story. - Short teaching videos
These help explain some key concepts throughout the course. If you cannot watch the videos in your particular setting, you can instead read the relevant script notes.
