Service times

8am traditional

At this service, the minister wears robes and we enjoy traditional hymns. We typically celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first, third and fourth Sundays of the month, with a Service of Word and Prayer on the second and fifth Sunday. The service finishes around 9am.

10am modern

A a contemporary feel with modern music and a kids program. We typically celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the second Sunday of the month. The service finishes around 11:15am.

What happens in the service?

Our 8am service follows the set liturgy of the prayer book, along with hymns played on the organ. We use services from both An Australian Prayer Book and Common Prayer. Consider it a relaxed prayer book service.

At our 10am service typically includes the following elements:

  • Our band lead us in singing several songs through the service (if you don’t feel comfortable singing, you are more than welcome to simply observe);
  • We say either a prayer of confession or a Christian creed together (words appear on the screen);
  • We hear a story from one of the ministry areas of our church;
  • We have a Kid’s Spot where we engage with the younger members of our church, and hear what they are learning in their specialised programs;
  • A member of the church will lead a time of prayer for our church and for the world;
  • We hear the Bible read;
  • We hear the Bible explained and applied to our lives (usually around 25 mins);

Our 10am service is streamed live every week. You can check it out for yourself on our YouTube channel.

Both services follow the same preaching program.

What is there for my kids?

Our 10am service has full kids program up to year 6. Typically, kids participate with their families during the first 20 minutes of the service as they join in singing, kids spots, and church life.

A creche is available from 9:55am for children from age 1 up to preschool.

When we share in the Lord’s Supper, kids are invited to share with us as members of the church. Parents are free to decide if they consider it appropriate for their kids to participate.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. You are free to wear whatever feels comfortable for you.

Those who typically attend are dressed across the spectrum from collared shirts and dresses, to shorts and t-shirts. Whatever you wear, you needn’t worry about standing out from the crowd.
