Sermons Series: All To the Glory of God

October – November 2016
The Westminster Catechism famously declares, “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.” In our enthusiasm to proclaim the love of God for us, we can slip into thinking that we are therefore God’s greatest concern. However, God’s greatest concern is and always has been his own glory. His great love for us is simply one manifestation of his glory.

Those who know God’s love will share his passion for his glory and seek to glorify him in their lives. American preacher John Piper likes to say, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.” The way we use our time, talents and treasure reveals the source of our satisfaction – God’s gifts or God himself.
